Tempus Jets is committed to philanthropy in the communities where we live and work. As such, our company has identified four areas of assistance where we hope to make the greatest impact locally, nationally and internationally:
Education of a technically proficient workforce — more »
Access to healthcare for children and disadvantaged families — more »
Delivery of humanitarian assistance to locations affected by natural or man-made disasters — more »
Land conservation and environmental stewardship — more »
Education

In Newport News, Virginia, our company has committed significant financial resources to help a local school thrive in an economically disadvantaged neighborhood. Most of the students attending this school come from low-income families and are at risk of failure due to socioeconomic factors. Students in kindergarten through 12th grade receive a quality education in a nurturing environment, with the opportunity to develop meaningful relationships with caring adults.
Nationally, we have funded a scholarship to help the dependents of deceased or severely wounded military service members attend college. Because our company has been awarded military contracts, it is extremely important to Tempus Jets to help the children of those brave men and women, some of whom made the ultimate sacrifice.
Internationally, we have partnered with the Eastern Congo Initiative (ECI). The ECI is the first U.S.-based advocacy and grant-making initiative wholly focused on working with and for the people of the eastern portion of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. ECI believes that local, community-based approaches are essential to creating a sustainable, successful society in eastern Congo. Tempus Jets provides monetary grants and aviation support to help the former child soldiers and rape victims attend school, so that they may re-enter their communities as productive members of society.
Access to Healthcare

The partners of Tempus Jets truly believe that charity begins at home. To this end, the company pays 100% of the cost of the healthcare, dental, life insurance and disability insurance premiums for our employees and their families.
Locally, our company has contributed more than $25,000 for the establishment of a wellness plan to combat childhood obesity in low-income families. We believe that providing children at the poverty level with proper nourishment will help them physically and emotionally achieve their goals.
In Africa, Tempus Jets currently provides flight time on our aircraft to help rape victims receive medically necessary surgery. In the remote villages of the Congo, women do not have access to the medical care they need to correct the physical effects of the atrocities experienced at the hands of the brutal militias. Our pilots fly our aircraft to help these women receive the medical help they need to lead productive lives.
Delivery of Humanitarian Assistance
Tempus Jets delivered medical supplies to a triage clinic in Haiti following the catastrophic earthquake in 2010
Tempus Jets is committed to responding to natural and man-made disasters across the globe. As a result of this philosophy, our founder is establishing a nonprofit company, Global Flight Relief, to deliver food, water and medical supplies to those areas hardest hit by natural disasters and political unrest. Global Flight Relief will be based in Virginia but will serve as a first responder for ground zero locations during crises. Tempus Jets also donates flight hours and aircraft for flights to catastrophic disaster areas. For example, our company immediately responded to the crisis that devastated Haiti in 2010 by delivering critical medical supplies.
Land Conservation and Environment Stewardship
Project Green Skyy consists of 623 acres of timberland in Virginia that has been donated to a conservation easement
As an aviation company, Tempus Jets is aware that our fleet of aircraft has a substantial carbon footprint. Therefore, our company has committed to preserving the environment now and for generations to come by operating as "carbon neutral."
Project Green Skyy is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tempus Jets, consisting of 623 acres of timberland in Virginia that has been donated to a conservation easement to eliminate the possibility of development. The partners planted approximately 64,000 long-leaf pine seedlings on this land to enhance the carbon sequestering capability of the property for the next 75 years.
